Greenwich is an affluent town of about 60,000 in Fairfield County, southwestern Connecticut. It is one of the wealthiest communities in America and is blessed with lush and beautiful scenery and many large and impressive houses. As of the 2010 census, the town had a total population of 61,171. It is the 10th largest municipality in Connecticut, and the largest that functions as a town.
Known for its hedge fund billionaires, Captains of Industry, and Hollywood types, Greenwich does not broadcast its considerable tourist assets loudly, many of which, ironically, are inexpensive or free.
